The Human Resources Department of the Ottawa-Carleton District School Board has completed reviewing district needs for Occasional Teachers for the 2010-2011 school year. Based on our review, we have identified the following needs for occasional teachers:
FSL qualified teachers (Primary, Junior and Intermediate divisions);
Due to the number of occasional teachers remaining on the list, we will not be adding, with the exception of FSL, to the elementary occasional teachers’ list. Should other areas of need/shortage be identified through the school year, the District will post the specific shortage area on www.applytoeducation.com.
FSL qualified teachers (Intermediate/Senior divisions with two subject teachables);
Applicants recommended by Principals (up to two per school)
Due to the reduction of occasional teachers on the secondary list, we will be adding approximately 60 teachers. Principals will be reviewing on-line portfolios on www.applytoeducation.com
prior to October 29, 2010, and recommending up to two applicants per secondary school to the central interviewing process.
Should you require assistance with your on-line portfolio, please contact Apply to Education Customer Support at 1-877-900-5627 ext. 224.
Only applicants who are recommended to the central interview process will be notified.
